Diocesan Ministry Conference 2018
The Diocesan Ministry Conference is at the Royal Clifton Hotel in Southport
over the period 17 – 20 September 2018
Bishop Peter invites all who are engaged in the ministry and mission of our diocese to this conference. Its aim is for us to strengthen our diocesan life and ministry through social engagement and conversation, prayer, liturgy, scripture, reflection, and shared experience.
Input will be provided through St Luke’s Healthcare Services, with a view to sustaining us in our individual and corporate ministries, and indeed in our daily lives as Christians. We will look at Personal Resilience, Caring for Oneself, Sustaining Healthy Relationships, Identifying Challenges, The Working Context, Identifying Choices, and Making Positive Change.
Those who are engaged in the ministry and mission of our diocese include Clergy, Readers, Lay Ministers, Diocesan Officers, Church Wardens, and others, as well as ecumenical partners, and colleagues from our sister-diocese of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory. Attendance criteria are as for our monthly CMD sessions: attendance is expected of beneficed and licensed clergy and Readers, and PTO ministers are warmly invited. Spouses and partners may attend at own cost, dependent upon availability of places. Parishes might consider paying in part the costs for Church Wardens, and youth or other ministry leaders who attend.
