Special Celebration at St John's Mill

Friday 3rd February 2012

A special celebration has taken place marking the 10 year anniversary of St John's Mill at St John's. This unique historic venue has become since February 2002 a place where many have been able to come together and gather to learn, meet, train enjoy the marvellous quality hospitality in the beautiful tranquil waterside setting.

The celebration began by sharing at table together with a hearty breakfast of sausage, egg and bacon sandwiches accompanied by the aroma of fresh coffee. Many of the team who have made the Mill such a success over the last 10 years then gathered in prayer and celebration with contribution from Bob and Andrea Jeavons, Jim Noakes, Graham Derbyshire, Jill Gore and Angie Astley.

A look back at the contributions to the life of this Christian Community included recordings of the first dedication of the then unrestored building, from The Rt Revd Noel Jones, who was then Bishop, the Revd Leslie Guthrie and the Revd Geoff Breffit.

The celebration ended with prayers for each of the organisations that regularly use the Mill to gather and meet and with a prayer for the vision for the future and continuing of God's work there.

Further details of the life and work of this registered Christian Charity can be found by following this link to their website.
