Job Vacancies

Clergy Vacancies

Castletown, Arbory with Colby and Santon
This group consists of the ancient capital of the Island and some rural parishes; it will become vacant on 1 March 2012 by the appointment of the present incumbent as Bishop's Chaplain. There is strong lay involvement in the churches.
It is likely that there will be pastoral re-organisation in the Southern Mission Partnership in 2012.

Maughold with Dhoon
South Ramsey St Paul

The Parish of Maughold is a rural parish, vacant following the retirement of the previous incumbent, and it is agreed that it will be served in future by the same priest as South Ramsey. Christ Church Dhoon operates ecumenically. There is an NSM assistant curate.
The Parish of South Ramsey consists of the centre and most of the town of Ramsey; it will become vacant on 1 May 2012 by the appointment of the present incumbent to a chaplaincy in Chile, and will in future be served by the same priest as Maughold and Dhoon.
The possibility of these parishes becoming a single parish is currently being considered.

Braddan
This large suburban parish on the south of Douglas will become vacant on 1 May 2012 following the retirement of its present incumbent. There is strong lay involvement in the churches.

All three have considerable potential for energetic, creative and faithful ordained leaders.

Parish profiles are being prepared and two days of "Island Experience" are being offered 20-21 March.
