Bishop Peter is pleased to announce the appointment of his new Chaplain.
The Reverend Ben Bradshaw is an ordained deacon.
He's 31 years old, married to Danielle and they have a 7 year old daughter, Jorja. Ben and Danni are expecting a baby in January so it is a really exciting time!
Prior to coming to the Island, Ben was living in Bolton and ministering at St Matthew’s, Little Lever.
Ben has also held posts in secular employment, most recently managing a Christian homeless hostel in Rochdale.
Ben trained for ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, and is a current member of the Society of the Resurrection; a group which follows a rule of life and a dedication to prayer within the family of the Mirfield Monastic Community. Ben is also a deacon associate at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and a member of the Walsingham partnership.
Ben enjoys travelling and has been to Zimbabwe on numerous occasions supporting the charitable work and ministry of the Community of the Resurrection in that country. Ben also supports and fundraises for the John Bradburne Memorial Society; a charity that continues the work of John Bradburne, a holy Englishman who was martyred in Zimbabwe in 1979 whilst caring for lepers.
As a family, they enjoy walking and are really looking forward to exploring the beautiful areas of the Island; the Bradshaws are living in the north of the Island, near Maughold.
Ben and Jorja are passionate Bolton Wanderers football fans (and current season ticket holders!) They hope to get back across to watch as many games as they can when possible.
