Praying the Keeills Week 2025: A Journey of Faith, Beauty, and Fellowship on the Isle of Man

We are thrilled to announce that Praying the Keeills Week 2025 will be taking place on the Isle of Man from Saturday, May 17th to Saturday, May 24th. This special week promises to be a deeply spiritual and reflective experience, celebrating the unique heritage and sacred sites of the island, while focusing on the theme:

“Humble Servants of God in the Ministry of the Beautiful” – a tribute to the life and work of the renowned artist and designer, Archibald Knox.

Exploring the Sacred Beauty of the Isle of Man

Praying the Keeills Week offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Isle of Man’s rich Celtic and spiritual heritage. Throughout the week, we will journey on foot, by car, and using public transport to visit the keeills—the ancient, often hidden, Christian chapels that have dotted the island for centuries. Along the way, we will also explore other sacred sites, uncovering the deep connection between the land, its history, and its faith.

This year’s theme honours Archibald Knox, whose designs, inspired by Celtic art and spirituality, beautifully blended the sacred with the artistic. It is through the lens of Knox’s work that we will explore the theme of “the ministry of the beautiful,” discovering how art, beauty, and faith are intricately woven together in our spiritual lives.
