Value, Support and Care for every person

Safeguarding is not simply a policy requirement for the Church — it is part of our Christian calling to care for, protect and value every person, especially the most vulnerable within our communities and congregations.

The Diocese of Sodor and Man is currently taking part in an Independent Safeguarding Audit being carried out by INEQE Safeguarding Group*. This process is designed to help ensure that our safeguarding culture, policies and practices are effective, transparent and centred on the wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk.

As part of this independent audit, parishioners, volunteers, staff and members of the wider church community are invited to take part in a confidential and anonymous survey.

Listening well matters. Honest feedback matters. Creating safer churches matters.

We would encourage anyone connected with the life of the Church across the Diocese to engage with the survey openly and thoughtfully. The responses go directly to the independent audit team and are not handled by the Diocese.

You can access the survey here: INEQE Survey

The survey closes on Tuesday 7th July 2026.

Thank you for helping us continue the important work of ensuring our churches are places where people are safe, respected, heard and supported.
