Caring for our church buildings – April seminar with international specialist

Do you have responsibility for – or interest in – our historic church buildings?

In St Thomas’ Church Douglas, the Diocese will be welcoming international specialist, Tobit Curteis, to give us information and advice on improving the environmental conditions in our historic buildings.

The seminar will be on 21st April and Tobit’s talk will be from 7-8.30pm.  Come along for a cuppa beforehand, from 6.30pm.

Louise Whitelegg, Diocesan Net Zero Carbon Officer and Church Buildings Support Officer recognizes that Tobit will be a great help for all with responsibility for, or interest in our historic church buildings.

“Expert Tobit Curteis explores balancing conservation with decarbonisation, and helps us to master environmental controls that protect historic fabric while ensuring a sustainable, comfortable future.

This seminar addresses the critical risks of poor environmental conditions and the need for careful intervention strategies for long-term preservation of our treasured buildings.”

The event is free to attend.  To secure a place, please email Louise: carbon.zero@sodorandman.im
