Christmas isn’t cancelled!
On Sunday afternoon The Cathedral celebrated the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, led by Bishop Tricia and attended by His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Phillippa Lorimer. Local MHK Kate Lord-Brennan, and Chair of Peel Commissioners, Ray Harmer, were among those who also took part, with choral music led by the Choir of Cathedral Isle of Man under their Director, Dr Peter Litman.
CHRISTMAS
Among the highlights of Christmas celebrations are Carol services – in churches, in village halls, around trees outdoors – a celebration that brings hope and joy, as shown in the Church of England Christmas reel.
There have been wonderful celebrations in churches all around the island in recent days, and there are more still to come, between now and 25th December.
