For a number of years our own Diocese had a link in the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory , the Church of Ireland Diocese in the South East of Ireland whilst the Right Reverend Michael Burrows was Bishop there. After sixteen years with episcopal oversight Bishop Michael was translated in late 2022 to be the Bishop of the new Diocese of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe in the West of Ireland.
The Right Reverend Adrian Wilkinson has succeeded Bishop Michael as Bishop of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory.
With this change and other factors coming in to play after a long and successful season of mutual pastoral support, encouragement and flourishing the decision has been taken that it is time for the link to end. A great many friendships and relationships have developed through the link and no doubt many will indeed continue to do so.
To mark the occasion a farewell has been drawn together by the Very Reverend John Mann, himself a former Dean of Belfast Cathedral and features worship and prayers, words and celebration and can be seen on the link below.
