Vote now – and help to build Christ’s body in the CofE

Time for Sodor and Man Diocesan Synod members to place their votes.

Nominations for elections to the General Synod closed on Monday 7 September and voting opens on 21 September when it will be time for members of our Diocesan Synod to place their votes.

We have only one clergy candidate for the Diocese, so no vote for a clergy representative is required.

There are two lay candidates, for whom voting is needed.  When voting opens, each lay elector will receive an email link from Civica inviting them to place their vote. The link will also allow electors to review the candidates’ election addresses if they wish, and these can be accessed multiple times.  Once an elector has voted, the emailed link to the addresses will close.

Nominees:

House of Clergy:
The Reverend Elizabeth Hull
Nominators: the Very Reverend Nigel Godfrey and the Reverend Ruth Walker

House of Laity:
Mrs Susan Kennaugh
Nominators: Mr Stephen Hamer and Mrs Sue Waring

Mrs Linda Mann
Nominators: Ms Judith Ley and Mrs Jacqueline Frear

Together we hold up to God in prayer
~ Bishop Tricia and all who serve on General Synod ex officio
~ all those offering themselves for election to serve on General Synod
~ all involved in organising the election process

And we pray for wisdom and discernment in this process and the future of Christ’s church in the British Isles.

Election Addresses: As well as the links provided to electors to read the election addresses before voting, the same election addresses of our clergy and lay candidates are available here for all to view.  Click the links below the photos to view their election addresses.
