About The Lambeth Conference
Convened by Justin Welby – The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lambeth Conference is 2-week event, gathering hundreds of Anglican bishops from around the world. The conference runs from 26 July – to 8 August 2022.
With the theme of ‘God’s Church for God’s World’, bishops will discuss church and world affairs. Topics on the agenda include peace and reconciliation, science and faith, the environment, inter faith relations and more.
The event meets in Canterbury, Kent and will also visit Lambeth Palace in London for a day of action on environmental issues.
The conference has been run every decade since 1867. The 2022 gathering will be the fifteenth Lambeth Conference.
