Liz Hull was ordained Deacon in the Anglican church by Rt Rev Peter Eagles, Bishop of Sodor and Man, at a service in the Cathedral in Peel on Saturday 29th September, the feast of St Michael and All Angels.
Liz's childhood was in India where her father, Rev Bob Marsh, was a priest with the Church of South India. When Liz came to live in Britain, she trained as an Occupational Therapist and worked in mental health services for 10 years.

Liz came to the Isle of Man in 1989 and she and her Manx husband, Steve, joined St Peter’s Kirk Onchan in 2000. They taught in Sunday School for 6 years and were part of the Music Group. Liz worked as Parish Clerk for a period in 2002, then had a break to be a full-time mum, and continued again as Parish Clerk from 2012-2015.

During her ordination training with All Saints, Liz was on placement with Maughold and South Ramsey for the best part of two years. Many members of Maughold and South Ramsey gathered in the Cathedral for Saturday’s service, along with Liz’s family members, diocesan Readers and Clergy, lots of people from St Peter's Onchan, the St Catherine’s church music group and several members of the Parish of Rushen.
Four friends, just graduated having studied the All Saints course along with Liz, and now Assistant Curates, came to the island for her ordination.

Rev Liz Hull now commences three years as Assistant Curate in Rushen Parish and her first service with them was their joint Harvest Thanksgiving at St. Mary's Church on Sunday.
