The annual Mothers’ Union Advent service (and the Feast of St Nicholas) was held on Tuesday 6 December and was attended by the Diocesan patrons – Lady Lorimer and Mrs Gail Eagles.
This year the service was held in Kirk Braddan parish church – the officiants being the vicar, the Revd Daniel Richards, and the Mothers’ Union chaplain Revd Ruth Walker.
The MU Diocesan President, the Revd Jeanette Hamer, also took part.
There was a collection for the charity Housing Matters Isle of Man – formed to give advice, guidance and support for those in housing crisis on the Island.
Thanks were expressed to Braddan Mothers’ Union Branch for the festive refreshments that followed the service.
