Chapel of St. Thomas: Service & Dedication ✨
Chapel of St. Thomas saw a very special service on Friday 18th September with the Licensing of Reverend Ian Quayle as our new Chaplain to King William’s College and The Buchan School, alongside the Dedication of the new Chapel paintings by the Kelly family. ✝️🎨
Thank you to the Archdeacon of Man, the Venerable Irene Cowell, who presided over this unique service, marking a new chapter in the long and rich history of our Chapel and Chaplaincy.
A heartfelt thank you to our invited guests, Governors, choir and congregation, who were all in wonderful voice and helped make the occasion so memorable. 🎶🙏We warmly welcome Reverend Ian and look forward to him becoming an important part of our vibrant community.
We are also deeply grateful to the Kelly family for their wonderful creativity, dedication and years of work on the new paintings – the biggest change to our Chapel in a hundred years. 🎨✨

It was an honour to license Reverend Ian Quayle as Chaplain of King William’s College and the Buchan School on Friday and we wish him well in his ministry at the school. The service also included the dedication of the new paintings depicting some of the Old Testament Prophets and the Apostles, which add wonderful colour to the Chapel. It was a great pleasure to be at the college once again with the students and invited guests.
