In response to the BBC1 ‘Panorama’ programme the Diocese has issued the following statement:
The Diocese of Sodor and Man is aware of shortcomings in its Past Cases Review. It welcomes the opportunity to undertake this Review again, to rectify mistakes or omissions, and consequently to ensure that the highest standards of scrutiny are implemented in its Safeguarding Policy for today and for the future. The Diocese is committed to the care of all its people, and Safeguarding is as an essential and integral aspect of such care.
