Important update on a new heating project in Marown Church ….
Work on the installation of a new heating system commences Monday 15th June. During the work, the Church will be CLOSED for several weeks. On their Facebook page the church explains:
We have exciting plans to replace the tired oil-fired heating in the church with lovely electrical heaters, which will be much more effective at keeping us all warm! (Photo shows heater type in a similar church across.)
The church is thankful to have secured funding from the Church of England’s Boiler Hardship Fund, but is still looking for help to reach their £100k target for this and other renovation projects.
While the installation work is being carried out, people are still welcome to visit the graveyard and are asked to be aware that contractors’ vehicles will be coming and going.
