The Isle of Man put on a great display of warm sunshine and warm hospitality to welcome our next Bishop to the Island. Tricia Hillas and her husband Andrew visited the Island on Thursday 16 May and had a full itinerary that started in the Cathedral, Peel . From there a visit to the old cathedral on St Patrick’s Isle before refreshments at Thie Dy Vea Retreat House. Lunch was at St John’s Mill, St John’s with ecumenical church leaders from CAiM. Heading into Douglas after lunch a visit to Tynwald was next up before the short journey to Douglas head for interviews with the BBC and Manx Radio. The next stop was to Government House to meet the Governor before a much need break. In the evening there was the opportunity to meet with the clergy and readers of the diocese at St John’s Mill.
