Farewell to Reverend Jon Barwood

After three and a half years of dedicated service, Reverend Jon Barwood, Assistant Curate at Arbory and Castletown, bids farewell to his parishioners as he embarks on a new chapter in his vocation. Having successfully met all the requirements of his curacy, Reverend Barwood’s final service will be held at St Mary’s on the Harbour, Castletown, on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Throughout his tenure, Reverend Barwood has been a pillar of strength and guidance for the community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of parishioners. His unwavering commitment to his calling and his genuine care for the welfare of those he served have earned him the heartfelt gratitude of all who have had the privilege of knowing him.

Reflecting on his time in the parish, Reverend Barwood expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to grow and develop in his ministry. He, along with his wife Michelle and their son Henry, will be leaving the Isle of Man to return to England during the summer months. Despite the distance, Reverend Barwood has assured his parishioners that their bond will endure, promising to return for future visits and to nurture the friendships forged during his time on the island.
