The Reverend Bert Ferris
In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, we commend Bert Ferris to the eternal love and care of God.
After a lengthy period of illness, Bert was admitted to the Hospice on 07 January, and died following rapid deterioration in the evening of Sunday, 13 January.
Bert was ordained deacon in 1999 and priest in 2000, and served all his ordained ministry in this diocese.
We pray especially for Viola and for Christopher, their son, who serves as a priest in London, and for their greater family. Funeral details will be forthcoming.
‘Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.’
