Obituary – The Reverend Norman Stanley Saul

The Revd Norman Saul was Ordained a Deacon in 1954 and served as a Curate at Holy Trinity South Shore Blackpool and then at Poulton-le-Fylde St Chad (1957-1959) and as a Perpetual Curate at Freckleton Holy Trinity (1959-1966). In 1966 he became Vicar at Blackburn St Luke (1966-1968) and then Vicar at Barton St Lawrence (1968-1972). A move over to the Isle of Man to join his retired parents in 1972 saw Norman serve as Vicar of Foxdale St Paul (1972-1977) and then Vicar of Maughold (1977-1990). He retired in 1990, moved back to the Blackburn Diocese and was given the Bishop's Permission to Officiate until 2017. He regualrly worshipped and assisted at Blackburn Cathedral for about 16 years and then moved to worship at St Aidan's Bamber Bridge in 2014. 

The funeral will be held on Wednesday 19th February at 3pm Bamber Bridge St Aidan followed by cremation at Charnock Richard Crematorium.
