Friends,
As you see on this website, we are offering a homily or liturgy for every day in Holy Week, streamed at 11.00 a.m. each day, and then at 09.30 a.m. on Easter Day. This enables us to engage with the many themes of these days, both in scripture and also in their meaning for our own lives. My hope is that many of us will follow these broadcasts every day, giving a shape and structure to Holy Week, and placing our faith at the centre of our lives. In this way, we will live through the events of Holy Week and will then be able to celebrate Easter Day and the resurrection in a way that is more meaningful. The services from Monday to Saturday do not have to be watched ‘live’ at 11.00; they will continue to be available throughout the day and indeed throughout the week. There are other resources too, of course, perhaps from your own parish, and from the Church of England. But I offer our 11.00 service as a means of emphasising our unity in Christ over these holy days. And I pray for us all, that God will allow us to draw closer to Him in faith and hope and love as we prepare to celebrate the greatest gift of all at Easter.
In Christ,
+ Peter
