The Bishop is pleased to announce that The Revd Alessandra di Chiara, Team Rector of Onchan with Lonan & Laxey, has accepted his invitation to become Team Leader of the Eastern Mission Partnership. This appointment takes effect from Monday 20 September.
Bishop Peter writes: ‘The four Mission Partnerships in the Diocese of Sodor and Man equate to the traditional structure of Rural Deaneries. The post of Team Leader in the Eastern Mission Partnership has been vacant recently, with Archdeacon Andie Brown covering the responsibilities until his departure from the Island upon retirement this summer. It is with great gladness that I appoint Alessandra to this post. Now settled in her ministry as Team Rector, Alessandra will provide leadership and care in support of colleagues and parishes in the greater Douglas area and the East, as well as contributing to the work of the Bishop’s Leadership Team. Please join with me in praying for Alessandra as she takes up these new responsibilities, that God may bless her work richly and abundantly.’
