Obituary – Jackie Mothersdale
Many will remember The Reverend Paul and Jackie Mothersdale. Paul was Priest-in-Charge of Malew and Santon from 2011-13, Rural Dean of Castletown and Peel, and subsequently Southern Mission Partnership Leader. Sadly, after a brief illness Paul died in 2014.
Sadly too, Jackie died on Sunday 10 November, peacefully and with her family present, after a period of illness followed by final decline.
The funeral service will be at a crematorium near Leeds, with a subsequent thanksgiving service at Thornton le Dale near Pickering in North Yorkshire followed by the burial of her ashes in Paul’s grave there.
Dates of these services are yet to be fixed, so anyone wishing to attend is invited to contact the Bishop’s Office on 01624 622108 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prayers for Paul, prayers for Jackie, and prayers for all who mourn.
Jackie was anointed in hospital in Darlington by the Bishop of Whitby the day before she died.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory and perpetual light shine upon her.
